      First of all, I agree with other posters that the "detox" thing is more hype than reality. Why? Your body detoxes itself naturally through your liver and kidneys and other natural systems in your body. You can speed this process only by one way--by keeping your body in a state of balance. Drinking green tea in moderation may help keep your body in balance, but it's not going to produce a dramatic effect in terms of helping you get marijuana or other substances out of your system.

      Now, about icing / refrigerating tea and its health benefits. There is no evidence that refrigerating tea is harmful at all. However, TIME does cause the antioxidants in tea to break down, starting when it is brewed. So, you want to drink tea closely after it is brewed (i.e. within a day or two, ideally). But, tea will actually stay fresh better if it is refrigerated. I recommend drinking your tea immediately if it's hot, and if you make iced tea, drinking it within a day or two of chilling it.       Maybe your not adding enough sugar then, because it always taste delicious if you add enough. Make sure it's cold tea though, because I find hot tea unappealing. Add more sugar, and some ice cubes and it should taste great.

      Whole leaf is unquestionably better, but bagged is fine, it is just ground tea. The lemon you will have to check the manufacturer website, but likely it is simple lemon zest in the bag with the tea (you may even be able to see it...little flecks that don't look like tea)

      Fad diets, starvation diets, fasting, and diet pills do not work. Any diet that is temporary will only produce results that are temporary at best.

      Losing fat any faster than about 4 lbs a week is impossible. Any additional weight you might lose would either be water weight, or your muscle atrophying.

      The only way to lose fat is a complete lifestyle change where you stop doing what made you obese in the first place and adopt healthy eating and exercise habits for the rest of your life.

      Detox pills, and detoxification and cleansing in general, are neither useful nor necessary unless you have had long-term narcotic use or are chronically constipated. Detoxification and cleansing has no proven medical benefits for the average person whatsoever. It will NOT help you lose any significant amount of fat. Your intestines are clean unless you use large amounts of muscle relaxers, or have serious digestive illness.

      Do not detox. Detoxing will mess with your electrolytes. I know a girl that did a simple (safe) detox and she went to the gym, was on a bike for 7 minutes and passed out.       I'm doing the exact same thing! I've been doing a lot of Google research, and following a healthy diet, as well as exercising, and cutting out fatty and junk foods... I've lost 10 pounds in 5 days so far :)

      Here are some tips to help:

      -Avoid "white" carbohydrates, such as bread, rice, cereal, potatoes, pasta, and fried food.

      -Healthy foods to eat: proteins, such as egg whites (take the yolk out, since it's quite fatty) with one whole egg for flavor, chicken breast or thigh, grass-fed organic beef and pork, lentils, black beans, pinto beans, vegetables such as spinach, asparagus, peas, corn and mixed vegetables.

      -I eat 4 small meals a day, with foods that will help you feel full (I find healthy oatmeal with no added sugar really helps, and contains a lot of fiber to help cleanse your digestive system)

      -Drink lots of water, unsweetened iced tea, tea, diet soda's, coffee (without sugar or cream), no calorie, or low calorie juice. Make sure you always keep yourself hydrated, as all these also help cleanse your digestive system (I find tea and coffee work the best)

      -And last but not least, exercise. I do about an hour a day, if you're out of shape, don't push yourself too hard. Walking, jogging, sprinting, bicycling, hiking, are all good workouts, or if you feel like staying home and doing a workout, I do sit ups, jogging in one place (put your hands out in front of you, and hit your hands with your knee's), jumping jacks, skipping with a weighted rope, or even dancing. Always make sure you stretch before doing any of these, otherwise you could end up pulling muscles, and it can be quite painful. Whatever makes you sweat is a good workout in my opinion. I also find going on YouTube and looking for a good exercise video really helps as well.

      Any niggling health problems that you had before the detox may be improved. For example, if you had any digestive problems you could find that they improve. Your bowels may work better.

      Make a note of any problems you have before on a scale of 1 -10 you start and check to see if they have improved afterwards.

      The good effects will only last if you stay on a very healthy diet. You could lose some weight but you could put it on again afterwards depending on what sort of diet you go back too.

      Are you drinking it on an empty stomach? I always feel nauseous when I drink green tea first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Have a little something to eat before you enjoy your tea.

      Niacin does crap to "flush" out THC. The "flush" of Niacin is an overall feeling of warmth and reddened skin after taking it.

      Hate to tell you, but a regular smoker will take at least 4 WEEKS of not smoking to be clean. Nothing speeds things up. Nada.

    I only smoke weed about once a day. Once I got the call for interview, I stopped smoking and started slamming down water, cranberry juice, and green tea. I did this for 4-5 days. Will I be clean for my drug screen?

    I am 15 years old, and my weight has been a real problem for me. I am 5'4 and weigh more than 180 pounds. So I have started the master cleanse but so far no resluts.       You are really just looking at a painful and drawn out way to empty your entire digestive tract.
      The lemon detox/master cleanse diet you are referring to is a calorie deficit program.
